Our family can’t get enough of Vikings North Edsa’s delectable cuisine. My relatives often visit the place to celebrate almost every birthday in our family. Out of curiosity and my grandmother’s never ending praise to their food, I got persuaded to try it out, with the family of course. Since it’s my blog’s birthday, we decided to consider it a celebration as well.
Quick Tip:Vikings receive a lot of daily visitors. Make your reservations a week before your visit so you wouldn’t wait for the long queue of walk-in guests.
Ambience
The place is filled with modern and elegant decorations. The place creates a semi-fine atmosphere for diners.
Food
Vikings NE serves at least 200 dishes. Lunch starts at 11AM and ends at 3PM.
The food is as great as the place. The diners are enticed with the variety of local and international cuisines they offer. Their buffet offers majority of what your rumbly tumbly might be craving for.
They also offer special cooking service if you want a particular dish to be served for you. We ordered Sinigang, my ever fave Filipino dish. The soup has the perfect asim I like. Aside from Filipino cuisine, they also have signature dish from Korea, Japan, Italy, China and more.
Quick Tip: Start with the appetizers such as salads and light meals.
I’ve a small appetite. I knew I won’t be able to taste everything so I started with bite-sized veggies as my appetizer.
If I can I’d definitely try everything at the Bread section.
I can’t get enough of Italian cuisine. I tasted every pasta including Pesto and Carbonara.
Cakes for the birthday celebrants. There are several birthday celebrators that day whom the staff/band sang happy birthday for. It brings cheerful spirit to other diners.
Vikings offers a birthday promo wherein celebrants can eat for free as long as accompanied by four paying adults. See more details here.
Desserts are my favorite. Vikings offer a variety of dessert options for the kids and kids at heart.
Oh great! They have my favorite taho!
This is where it gets exciting. The FROZEN YOGURT section is a wonderland for me. You can create your own by adding toppings of your choice. If you’re not into chocolates and gummies, you can visit the fruit section and make it as your toppings. Feel free to experiment! 🙂 I think I went back three times. lol
I’ve also tried their Avocado and Bubble Gum ice cream and Blueberry cheesecake. It was excellent.
Overall it was indeed a gastronomically satisfying experience. I would surely love to have lunch here again soon. I think I would really have to build up my appetite so I can catch up with my companions (who are able to finish 9 plates. Imagine.)
