It was a happy day for a lot of Kapampangan food enthusiasts as the long awaited Cocina Centrale finally opens at Marquee Mall Pampanga last Saturday, June 29. Despite of the rainy weather, Kapampangan foodies came to witness the culinary showdown and savor the Mercato Centrale experience.

It was a brilliant idea of the Mercato Centrale Group to bring the famous weekend food market in the culinary capital of the Philippines. As a Kapampangan, I see that it’s a good opportunity to try the best of Manila and at the same time promote the Kapampangan flavors.

The creatives and I decided to meet on the day of opening. We had not only fun but also satisfied tummies.

Get to taste the flavors of Pampanga at Cocina Centrale every Friday and Saturday, 4PM to 3AM at Marquee Mall Angeles City.

The crowd shows how Kapampangans love food so much.

There’s wide array of food choices, from Sisig, , delicacies, barbecues, sandwiches, burgers, finger foods, light and heavy meals, there’s always something for everyone.

We pampered our waistlines with meatiness. Hmm…interesting.

After our meaty tour, the creatives and I went for coffee and started our catch-up session.

We talked about career plans, shared our interests, career preferences and even had an exercise that helped us determine the steps to take on our future endeavors.

It was a fun and delectable night with the creatives and I’m looking forward to meet with them again next month. 🙂
