Vacation time used to be a rest season for me. ‘Rest’ meaning a break from school works and spend the whole day at home relaxing and enjoying a movie marathon while munching potato chips and double dutch ice cream. But ever since I graduated, summer turned out to be not only for relaxation but also for fun and adventure.

This year, me and my colleagues decided to spend our summer with a spice. We chose to fly-in ourselves to one of the beautiful islands of the Philippines, Boracay.

White velvety sand, crystal clear waters reflecting the clear blue sky–a true heavenly sight of paradise. It was like living inside a painting. lol. No doubt it is regarded as one of the Philippines’ best.

There are no dull moments in Boracay. There are hundreds of things you can do besides swimming and sight seeing. Boracay offers extremely fun activities that tourists and adventure seekers will surely love such as snorkeling, helmet diving, parasailing, island hopping and a lot more. If you’re planning to visit there, I highly recommend that you try out parasailing. It’s absolutely worth it and nothing scary (except if you’re not so much into heights. lol)

Unfortunately, I was having a vertigo that day so I wasn’t able to savor the moment but I could still pull off a super smile because I know that (despite of the headache) I’m having so much fun.

If you’re going for relaxation, There are a lot of massage and spa services out there. If you’re artsy, you could try out nail art services, henna tattooing and hair braiding.

After our parasailing adventure, we started enjoying the sands and waters of the beach. The heat was extremely high but we didn’t bother because we were busy taking pictures, dipping in to the water, making sand writings while getting our skins sun kissed. lol.
