Exploring Macau

We wanted to make the most out of our China trip so we decided to squeeze in a full day tour in Macau. We rode a ferry from Kowloon to visit the prestigious city. It’s one of my favorite highlights during our entire trip. I fell in love with Macau and I wish I could’ve explored more.

Macau is favored by tourists. In fact, it receives 31.5 million visitors a year. The city is pretty much like Hong Kong except most architectures are historical and Portuguese inspired.

One of the historical attractions in Macau is the Ruins of St. Paul Cathedral, our first stop. The church was destroyed by fire in 1800’s. It’s facade is the only remaining structure but still looks beautiful as it is.

The ruins of the cathedral is one of the most visited attraction. The area is always full of people.

The area was so crowded that day that it’s almost impossible to take an exclusive solo photo of the ruins.

It wasn’t long till we left the area to our next destination. I wish we could’ve stayed longer though, I’d love to walk around the streets.

We passed by Macau’s tallest tower. It would be fun to try their Bungee jump if I have the guts. It would be a good practice for skydiving. lol. Maybe next time.

Macau is dominated by luxury shoppers from Asia. The Venetian features a chain of luxury fashion brands selling shoes, bags, clothing and accessories.
