coachella-birthday-theme

Carrying on with my yearly birthday traditions, I decided to do a coachella-inspired birthday theme on the beach. I celebrated with the most important women of my life and spent the entire day on a sandy coast in Salalah.

Unspoilt beaches is  one of the best things they have here in Oman. You’ll find a lot of uncrowded beach areas where you can set up a tent and camp. We found a nice spot to put up our tent and went on with our picnic.

Flower crowns and Teepee tent standees.

Boho-loving souls will surely love pulling off this theme. I personally enjoy styling for these kinds of parties or even photo shoots; and if you know me too well, you would notice how I constantly apply this style in my ensembles.

We had little time preparing for this birthday but we all enjoyed crafting and deciding every bits and pieces for the picnic. From bohemian chic outfits, flower head pieces and teepee tents, we made sure that we don’t miss the basics.

I wish I could pull off  a bigger party like this someday complete with VIP wristbands, actual teepee tents and henna tattooing. (Probably for my little sister’s birthday) 😀

Waited for the sunset which is always my favourite part of the day.

Let me rewind a bit. A day before the picnic, Mum and I agreed to meet at the house and I arrived home to a little surprise from her and sis.

Present from her and a card from my sister.

And there you have my 2017 birthday theme post. To be honest, I have no idea until when I can stick to my annual birthday themes. I’m not even sure if I will even have the time to celebrate next year. lol. I can just wish for the best and hopefully celebrate it with the people I value most.

Last year was a year of big changes and lots of learning. It’s funny how I used to think that people my age were adults. Now that I’m 25, I feel that I am still naive with so many things, but at the same time excited because there is so much more to learn.

I am thankful to everyone who have made my year special, especially the new friends I met this 2016.
