boracay pastel beach birthday

I still get excited about my traditional themed birthday because every year gets better. This year, I decide to celebrate in Boracay with my family.

Even before booking the flight three months ago, I already knew I wanted a pastel birthday. I though it would be impossible to pull it off because we’re traveling. But hey, I like making the impossible possible so I tried my best to make it happen.

Towel cupcakes I made for souvenirs.

towel cupcakesI spent a day making these before the flight so everything would be ready when we get there. Yeah I was bringing these with me throughout the commute so they look a bit squashed. lol. The recipients liked it though. 😀

Midnight on November 11, they woke me up for a little surprise. I’m too sleepy to remember every detail but it was one of the best birthday mornings I had.

They gave me this cake while singing happy birthday. I thought it was a dream. I was smiling and happy but I was too sleepy. So I blew the candle, hugged them & went back to sleep. lol.

That same morning, I had a good breakfast and spent my time savoring the nice view. We had our lunch  at Villa Del Sol Restaurant because Grandma was craving for Seafood and Filipino dishes.

After lunch, we went to the beach to relax, take photos and swim.

To sum it up, my birthday was well spent. I’m grateful because I had the chance of celebrating my birthday here with the people I love. I also get to make it extra special not only for me but also for them.

Now I’m 23 and I know changes and challenges will come. I may be growing old but it won’t make me forget the child in me. I will continue making beautiful things happen and hopefully someday I can inspire other people’s lives.
